Windows xp don't boot

Hello,
I operate my pc its start showing sing of windows XP for a few minutes.Then the sceen become black with the mouse curson it apears a mesegga which I can read is "a write operation attemted....and the sceen becomes black again but the pc works without coming to the main menu of the windows.

If you have an XP disk, do the repair install.

What kind of computer? you may have other recovery options.
