Why is printing delayed after print command

Hello,
after I press the PRINT command, it takes over 2 minutes before the printing starts

you may have too many programs installed, delete all unused programs. click my computer, click control panel, click add remove programs, look at the list.
What programs are installed?

you may not have enough RAM memory installed. click my computer, click control panel, click system. How much memory is showing as installed? You should have 1 GB or more to run XP.
