Anyone know if the HD 3870 cards are compatible with the zelman coolers? Most specifically the VF 900 but any would do. I know Gigabyte uses one but I believe that might have been made to fit it specificially, could be wrong though. I have tried to do searches but the only thing that comes up is the Gigabyte card. With the falling prices its getting hard not to upgrade my aging 6800GS but because of the location of my mobo chipset fan a dual slot cooler is out of the question.

Yes the zalman vf900-cu is compatible with both 3850 and 3870, it wont work on 3870x2 though because it has 2 gpu dies.

Glad to find out the zelman coolers work, and thanks for the other option Earnie but not sure if the two cooler idea would work because of the location of my mobo chip set fan.
