Please give me some advice/ opinion on a very quiet heatsink for my Intel Q9550 on a p5q-e mb. This will be used in a digital audio workstation so quietness is essential.

I've heard about Zalmans being good but not sure if there are any particual series

OC freezer pro 7

thanks!

The stock intel hsfu is pretty quiet. I would also suggest the Scythe Orochi as it was pretty much designed for silence and is the quietest cooler out their.

get the Scythe Zipang is the best the Orochi is stupidly large and way overpriced!so forget about it.get the zipang.you might break your mobo as well if its the Orochi.
