I brought my dell 530s lil over a week ago now i got it for its size i always knew it would be hard to find a card that would fit but never thought this hard how come websites never give mesurments for any of there card. Normal cards have big metal plates with the outputs on them which are about 110mm but me pc the slots on the back are only about 75mm how do i tell how big the one on the website is i carnt tell :fou:

Anybody Help? cheers guys in advance

Yeah, that slim case has a HUGE impact on what card you can use. Persoanlly I'd look into replacing the case. But otherwise with that case You need to look at low profile cards. Most of the low profile cards are lousy for games. And then they cripple them with 64-bit memory interface too (instead of 128-bit) like on this X1650 pro:

If you notice in the pics, these half height cards usually come with the low profile bracket for cases like yours:

OK, here is the best low profile card I could find on newegg. It's a 128-bit GDDR2 X1650 pro. But people warn it's loud. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129076

It also comes with two low profile slot brackets so you can still keep the dsub (analog ) output.

(Edit: Bummer no low profile bracket with this one )If noise is a concern, you could look into a passive 8500GT. But I hope there is some airflow through that case for it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127301

OK, well then you could consider a slew of 8400GS low profile cards too since it's a casual gamer. That will give you more options and save you some money. BF2 is adjustable so isn't too demanding. Don't expect the highest details, but yeah it can play it. Just make sure whatever you buy comes with a low profile bracket.
