I heard that the official Intel x48 board use bios that's not geared towards overclocking. If the bios options aren't there, there isn't much you can do even if the hardware can physically handle oc.

well they sure as **** advertise it as an 'overclocking' board. The tools are there, they are just in wierd places with different names. Although i did not see ICH / South bridge voltage or RAM divider.
