Hello.
Sorry but i am still a noob at building pc`s so i will have some silly questions for all of you=)
I want to buy a new motherboard to go with my q6600 CPU.
I will not be doing any OC ing atm since i have no idea what i am doing and still have a lot to learn.
What i need is a nice Mobo that will be stable for me out of the box=)
ATM i have a asus p5b deluxe p965 , e6600 . silverstone zeus 850w, 2 gb xms2 corsair memory 4-4-4-12 2.1V.
This mobo has giving me few problems. Everything is stock in bios i have not changed anything.
Every time i boot my PC up it will freeze on the windows logo screen (the blue bar stops moving) and i have to do a reset to get back into windows. Once in windows it is all good.
I rember trying the asus p5k? and it was doing the same thing to me =/
So i am kind of scared to get a p35 chipset(cause i believe its an updated p965?) and i dont want to have this annoyng issue anymore.
I was looking at this mobos :
1)DFI LANPARTY UT P35-T2R
2)DFI LANPARTY DK X38-T2R
3)GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P
4) GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 ( not sure what the difference between ds4 and ds3)
5)GIGABYTE GA-X38-DQ6
6)Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4
I really love the looks on the DFI boards=)
Anyways i was told that DFI is overall better then GIGABYTE? and i was also told tthat the DFI board is not very noob friendly and in order for it to run stable need a lot of tweaking in the bios and its all also very picky on memory, any truth to all of this?
I need somethign stable out of the box that allows me to get going and play my games.
I was also interest on the evga nvidia chipste mobos (680-780-790) but i heard they give problems.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, again sorry for the silly questions.
