I cannot configure hp deskjet d1600 to print

Although not the most techno-saavy individual on the plantet, I'm no dummy either and I just spent all one day trying to configure an hp deskjet d1600 to print. I've gone through the troubleshooting, etc. No luck.

Any suggestions?

Did you follow directions exactly? HP, and some of the newer USB printers in general, have issues unless you go through the setup steps exacty in order. Don't skip ahead and plug in the printer before doing the driver setup for example?

Does Windows see the printer? What is the exact issue and what did you try?
