More Information

My PC: P5E-WS, Q6600-G0@2.88GHz, Zalmans 9700NT, eVGA 8800GTS-512MB, Antec P182....

While idle:
In CoreTemp, the CPU core temps are 32-36C
In PC Probe 2, the CPU temp is 25C and the MB temp is 35C.

I noticed from PC-Probe 2 that the chassis fan speed remains almost constant all the time.

When I run Prime95 to full load, I can see that Q-Fan increases the CPU fan from 1288 (idle) to 1700-2000 RPM (Load).  CoreTemp reports load temps as 51-56C.  The MB fan remains constant at 940 RPM, does this mean that the internal temp of my PC remains nice and cool?

I am already setting Q-Fan to performance profile. Is there any way to speed up the fan a bit to further cool the CPU?  Is there any way I can set the CPU fan speed to 1350 (still silent) to drop the CPU temp?

Some boards have bios options for fan speed control. You should take a look.
