I am having trouble updating BIOS. I tried Windows application and it fails while verifying. And when I try to use EZ-Flash 2 with DVD I get this error:

I tried various BIOS updates and it did not work. Please help.

I even tried with USB Stick but the stick was not recognized.

I am using Asus P5WDH Deluxe mobo.

You probably have the wrong BIOS/corrupt BIOS file.

I would say that you must have a corrupt BIOS as Shadow says. I have the same motherboard and haven't had any issues with updating the BIOS. I have never had any success doing it from Windows, I always use EZFlash. Good luck.

Clear CMOS and then try (if you are 100% that BIOS file is good).

I had that board and had alot of trouble updating bios. read the manual after i downloaded the bios i had to rename it. I used a flash drive and the alt f2 or whatever button combo. I dont have the board anymore but it was something like switching the name from p5h1206.rom to p5h.rom.(this is just am example not the exact name i used but whatever i did i got it from the owners manual

ps i think i had to format the thumb drive to fat 32 but you will have to double check

also make sure you are putting the usb stick in before you shut down your computer and restarting it, then go into bios menu, maybe thats why it did not read it. hope this helps
