Hi,
I am currently running two pny geforce 8600 gt cards in sli. The problem that I am having is the whole system freezes whenever I try to play any 3D application when sli is enabled in my driver. I have tried numerous different things including replacing the mobo, psu, and none of this helps. Both cards run perfectly fine by themselves but when installed together and sli is enabled the whole system freezes and requires a hard reboot. I am currently running vista 64 but the same problem occurs in xp home. I have the current nvidia drivers and have no issue other than when sli is enabled. Any help is appreciated.
my hardware:
asus crosshair mobo
amd athlon 6400
8gb geil evo one ram
2x 8600 gt in sli
WD raptor X 150 HDD
Silverstone op1000 PSU
windows vista ultimate 64 bit.
