To make a long story short - I've had my e8400 for about 3 months now. All along I've had it running more than stable at 3.8ghz, however just a week ago... well... the easiest way to describe it is that the cpu is now at 3.01ghz and I can't seen to do anything about it. I have the FSB at 420 still, there is no cpu fan error limiting my clock speed, Speed Step is disabled, and most other things in bios seem to be set right.
Any suggestions or comments as to why the e8400 is stuck at 3.01 would be greatly appreciated.
Mobo is Asus P5K Deluxe, 535 Watt Antec PSU, Asus 4870, 2 gigs of OCZ Reapper ram.

Use CPU-Z or something to check your multiplier. I let my E8200 multiplier float from 6 - 8. For web browsing it usually sits at 2.7ghz (450 x 6), but it'll bump itself up to 3.6ghz when I run a game or something a little more intense.
