Q6600 Question

When I open CPU Z its says my core speed is1603.7 MHZ,bus speed is 267.3. The computer seems slow, can I lock the cpu at 2.4 Mhz. Seems like it should be faster.

It's usually labeled "CPU E1ST Function"

it isnt slow. it drops the clocks while the cpu isnt in low use.

when your cpu needs to it ups it clocks to 2.4


saves energy, produces less heat.

run a virus scan or something, then open cpu-z while its running. u will see what i mean
