That's an interesting issue, it depends on the printer settings. When you go to print, open properties. There are many settings that vary according to the printer manufacturer. What printer do you have?
Did you install the original printer software, that comes on a CD, with the printer?
In the word window, click file, click print. Is there any scale set to the print job? Is the paper size correct? Is the zoom set to normal?
Click properties, click page set up, is normal sized printing set?

There may be some help if we can find your printer documentation by make and model number, but as it goes, there's a whole bunch of variations depending on the model of printer.

Microsoft Word 2000, 2003 and 2007 each has the ability to present on screen what you will get when printed.
The process is the same on all versions.

At the top of the frame, click "View"
then click either "Print Layout" (This is the one you want), or "Full Screen Reading", or "Web Layout", or "Outline", or "Draft"
