You have me a bit confused here.

If you formatted your Drive C, how does Windows function? or is Windows on another drive?

I ask because when a drive is formatted, it is erased and prepared to accept and store data.
If you formatted your drive, it will be empty, and of course, all your files will be gone.

Please check again and let me know if the files still exist.

If i may Tigsounds, i think i might see the issue. Try running the installer again. This time, reformat the hard drive completely, and when it asks where to install windows, create a partition including as much of the hard drive as you can. Then install windows to the newly created partition.
