Intel xbx what version of PCIe?

Hi I just bought a XFX GF8800GTS XXX and want to put into my PC. As it seems this card is a PCIe 2.0 card. Now i would like to know if my motherboard has PCIe 2.0. i looked on the intel website but it says it has PCIe 16x. Does this mean it is version 2.0? Very confusing.

If it is the MB in your sig, intel 975, it is not PCIe 2.0.
Your 8800GTS will still work just fine in it's PCIe 1 slot.

It is the mobo in my sig, so thx for the answer What will the performance decrease be with pcie 2.0 in a 1.0?
