Fook Me! And for only $189 for the Q6600 where I shop. Hmmmm. What are the success rates for the those hitting your clock speed?

If you have a decent motherboard and air cooler, 100%.

Wow, 1.5V is uber high, i only need 1.3875 in bios (reads 1.36 in cpu-z and speedfan) for 3.6ghz. I'm on an arctic freezer pro 7, and I idle in the mid to upper 40's and my highs are in the low 60's

Very nice. My GA 965P-s3 will only support up to 1333 fsb so 3.0 ghz at the 9 multiplier will be the most I could get out of it right now. But I could always upgrade the mobo later and then squeek out that last .6ghz. Looks like that chip could keep me going for another 2 years.

But is it prime95 small fft stable? I used 1.45 vcore initially, but prime95 hit error and paused after only a little more than 18 hours. Pumped up the vcore just to be sure.

Q6600 tolerates higher voltage. Intel's official recommended voltage range is up to 1.5v, compared to around 1.3v for others.

As for score, background load matters, A LOT. Most people running q6600 at 3.6ghz will get much more than 4800. My Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit is filled with all kinds of third party bloatware in addition to the heavy os, with 1.5-2gb ram usage at idle.

Best i've gotten was 4828 at 3.45ghz on my Q6600.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a280/Werak/3DMark0614029.jpg

I have since tweaked it to 3.2ghz 1600fsb because of weird motherboard issues. I now get about 4500 give or take a couple points.
