Help me with keyboard problem

I have a problem with a old motherboard search the old forums without luck. Im trying to fix my friends pc hes using for administration purpose so plz dont advise him to a other pc. Hes got Gigabyte 81RM REV:2.2c 1 and using it only for typing which its perfect for. The problem is that the keyboard dont detect that includes ps /2 and usb. Any suggestions guys to prevent this pc turning in to a dvd player.
