I'm going to buy an e6750 in the near future and wanted to get an intel p35 motherboard for the higher fsb. However I currently have an 805d and cant afford the mb and the chip. I realize the p35 is for 800mhz and up fsb and the 805d is 533. However I have been running mine oced at 3.6ghz(800mhz) ever since I got it, does this mean i could get a p35 motherboard and my 805 d would work in it? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks. :D

Thats strange that it doesn't show support for the 805 but it supports the 820. I would almost think it would since they are all the same chip with just different frequencies but if a support page doesn't list it it might not.

Yeah, the lowest Pentium D 800 Series CPU that will run on a P35 chipset board I've seen is the Pentium D 820. As endyn said, it could change, but I doubt it IMO

Your best bet is to decide which, or choose, a P35 mobo you want and then see if the 805 is on the list of supported processors. All mobo makers list what procs are supported by each mobo they make.

The 805 is the only PD that has a 533 FSB. I think you might want to know that. Therefore, this is a valid question. The 805 is different.
