1. Does ghost back up native so that I could copt a file from backup to another computer withoud Ghost?
2. Cha I cackup multiple computers on my home networf from the computer with ghost on it if I allow file sharing on the remote computers?
3. Are there other quality backups available for home use?

I use Nero backit up on my XP machines and love it, however, the new version of nero which supports XP has moved Backitup to a separate product. The only place I can find it is on Nero's site and it takes about 2 hours to download and has failed the 2 times I tried (I have cable) I think the bottleneck is on their server.

1.NO you need the ghost cd/floppy for the ghost exe.
2.There is a version of ghost for net stuff I think it is version 14.
3. Check out www.majorgeeks.com there might be some freeware/shareware there that might satisfy you although you should really consider ghost,it works..:)

I haven't tried any freeware, but I really like Acronis.

1) You can do this, but only if the computer has ghost installed (you do not need the ghost CD for this operation though).
2) Yes
3) Acronis is nice as well
