Setting affinity

Hello

I recently picked up Box q6600 G0 for 200$. Its idle temp is 25 C at 2.8 ghz on stock cooling. It rocks.

Most of the programs can not take advantage of 4 cores automatically.

I want to set processors affinity for different programs so that i can force different threads to run on different cores as much as possible. for example, assign core o to one application, core 1 to another application and so on. I also want to set it once and run in accordance with my affinity assignment.

Can anyone give me a good software that will meet my requirements?

ya i reread it and you are right - hey i come here since like to help people. if you do not like the advice do not use it. if you do not like what i write do not read it or report it.

and finally if i mis read somthing then rewrite it more clearly
