RAID 1 boot problem

I setup a RAID 1 array and in the RAID menu at startup I have it set to bootable, and it says the array is healthy. However when I enable RAID in the bios, the system does not boot, reading "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"
The hds are in the correct sata ports but it still doesnt work. Any suggestions?

XFX 680i LT motherboard
Q6600
4gb DDR2 ram
2 x WD 320gb SATA harddrives
Windows Vista home premium 32 bit

Did you go through the RAID setup after POST?
