After weeks of scouring the net for reviews, the only one I've found on this board is in Spanish and the Google translator doesn't really do the best job at converting it to English.
Went ahead and decided to make the purchase with the hope that it was as decent as the GA-P35-DS3L. So far I'm not disappointed. The main features on the DS4L chipset that aren't included on the DS3L are SLI (at X8 electrical of course), and onboard RAID. I figured this board would be a decent option for someone like me who wants SLI without breaking the bank.
It has a 4 less USB ports than the DS3L, and one less each PCIE-X1 and PCI slots, which I don't think is that big of a deal. The BIOS is probably very similar to the DS3L, but I'm amazed by the wealth of options as I'm used to cheaper Gigabyte, MSI, and ECS boards that really don't have many options. There were so many options in fact that I wouldn't have been surprised if there was a setting to overvolt the keyboard and mouse!
With no tax through Directron, and ground shipping I only paid $112.00 for this board which is only a few more dollars than the GA-P35-DS3L at Newegg. Does anyone else have this board and if so what do you think of it?
I'm a dumb***, GA-N650-DS3L is what I meant to post. A little too much caffeine this morning. Can't find anything in the forums about changing thread titles, is there a way to do that?
