My 40gb IDE hard drive is infected with a virus. The problem is I kept getting delayed write failure so I figured I would format my hardrive fresh but in windows setup I got an error saying that it wasn't able to. So I put it into a computer that had windows installed and formatted it, and was successful. But 3 files appeared on the empty drive. I couldn't delete them. So I formatted the drive again, same files. I can't remember the names but, there was an exe named mlr.exe with a description saying Micro$oft anti-malware remover.
I tried a different computer and had same problem. Can someone please help me?
