Anyone got any good places for some free, awesome/badass desktop backgrounds? Mine is ok, but it really isn't worthy of my rig. Anything badass sci-fi or with visually stunning scenery or lots of intensity is what im looking for, and well focused high resolution necessarily is preferred.

Found this site a few years back. It's now all I use. You could spend hours upon hours looking at this massive hand reviewed collection. You do have to create an account after downloading 5 pictures, but that shouldn't be a big deal.

Hope it helps. Enjoy guys.

haha, no...im just saying, ive been looking for a really cool wallpaper for some time (i took out a big loan to pay for my computer and want a nice sharp, cool looking desktop) and i really haven't found anything too hot through google yet. Most of it is a bunch of 1024x768 grainy flower pictures.

and i don't mean to sound arrogant about my rig...im modest in person believe it or not ;)

But thanks for the suggestions so far, i really like the sites.

I consider my rig poor until a graphics card comes out that'll play Crysis smoothly at max settings.

It has a few good ones. I just search for random. And occasionally I find one I like. And then I'll save it to a folder, so I can switch between cool backgrounds whenever I want.

Thanks, I really needed a refresh of my desktop and with a 1920 x 1200 screen size it is difficult to find free pictures unless you take them yourself.
