Product recovery toshiba vista installs vista???

Hello, can anyone tell me pls what does this product recovery cd from toshiba do to my laptop?does it reinstall the complete version of the original vista?or what it is used for?ther is no keycode so i guess it is not a installation of the vista that it really doea?sorry , but i am completely ignorant, i would really appreciate your help

It restores your laptop to its original state with
Windows® Vista Home Basic 32 bit
AND all the factory drivers and applications. or whatever OS you use.

That means anything you installed, or personal files will be lost unless you backup that data, files.
