Hi Guys,
After reading a few posts here I would like to ask the following:

If I want to buy an hd3870X2 card and be able to crossfire it with the 48XX which card should i buy? (MSI,HIS,Sapphire...etc).

Get a HIS since they are going to make an overclocked one, i am considering getting a pc with hd3870x2 also but i'm not sure u will be able to crossfire it since they use different gpu cores.

Thanks Vader,
I read somewhere on the forum that MSI makes an 850 instead of the standard 800 one but when i checked their site it was 800 as well. If the HIS one is at 850 as well will I be able to crossfire them then?

I have been skimming around for that info quite a bit and haven't found anything about xfirex between 3800s and 4800s. A lot of people are assuming they will but I am getting the feeling it wont. Like darth said above, it is a different GPU.

Crysis has shown us that there is no shuch thing as "future proof".
As for crossfire, you would better off getting 2 of the same cards. Driver issues with multi card setups are bad enough without throwing in differant GPU cores. I don't see it working flawlessly this gen or the next. Someday this will work, then again "someday never comes" (CCR)
