Not really, it's more of a rumor than anything.

didn't they just released the 9xxx series? I'm looking at a 9600. Though it is not as good as a 8800GT i'm sure that more will come and prices will fall in a matter of weeks. . .

And you realize that this gives us an opportunity for two 4870X2s in CrossfireX for 2 gb of DDR5 and up to 4032 GFLOPS. :pt1cable: Oh, the power of it all! :o

Now, if only some holographic monitors were to come available to the general public.

There's the GT200 and 4870.
If you can wait until summer.
From what I read, these will be a true next-gen cards and a whole LOT better (not like the Nvidia 9600GT and Ati 3850).
Until then, the 8800GTS 512 and 3870's are the best normal cards for now.
I had good luck with the 8800GT.

I think Im gonna wait till summer. Nothing's took my fancy yet.

Unless a 8800GTX/GTS comes along at the right price.

Good luck. As a tester I can tell you that game runs like a pile of dung. As bad as Vanguard on release but with far worse server code.

A 3870x2 would be your best bet. You would probably need 2 of them on a decent display and an insane clock on a 2 core cpu. That game was made for hardware 2 years down the line.

Oh, raining on my parade? Is the game itself good? Or is it a vanguard a game with the great possibilities but ended up too buggy.
