I got a cheap mobo running an e6600, and plan to upgrade when I get a quad.

Anybody know whether the G92 cards run on this older chipset? Does it have PCIe 1.1 or 1.0a?

PCI-E 2.0, but they're compatible.

There have been reports of the 2.0 nvidia cards not working on boards w/ 1.0.

Sorry, u gave so little information about ur motherboard and ur posting under graphics cards; I just assumed u were talking about graphics cards. Well, it would be nice if u would had said the maker of ur chipset. The ones that i could find, by looking on google(this new search tool), is that they are compliant with PCI Express 1.0a.

um...I did; it's an intel 945p.

At any rate, I've done some more searches, and confirmed that this chipset conforms to the 1.0a standard.
However, it also appears the 8800 incompatibility is only with VIA chipsets, so I'm going to take a chance.
