Does anyone here have any experience using a EVGA 780i with a Xeon? The manual does not specifically list the Xeon. However, because they are the same chip, should it recognize it anyway?

This CPU is identical to the Intel E8400 in every way including overclockabilty. The only difference is the name. This CPU has been tested by us at PC Maniacs on Gigabyte X38-DS5 and EVGA 780i motherboards and show as Xeon E3110 3Ghz, the same is replicated by CPU-Z in Windows. This CPU is a great altenative to the E8400 if we are ever out of stock :)

On another note... it is indeed amazing what a simple google search with the words "780i E3110" can get you, isn't it?
