Has anyone seen the E8400's in stock anywhere or heard anything about when they will be back?
 
I did find a few for sale at www.Memory4Less.com/sCr3wUa11/E8400 for $457.25 (are they insane?)
 
i wonder if it is a higher demand than intel expected, a bottleneck in manufacture, or if the error intel claims does not exist in the 45nm chips (the one that is delaying the quad cores) has surfaced in the dual core version and they are finding a solution before shipping out more chips.

Tigerdirect.com had some for like $229.99 the other day. I believe Microcenter.com had some as well for like $199.99. You just have to look in the right places.

I think I already knew what "strategically" means. Now see if you manufacturer 2 sedans of similar features, and the new one is selling like hot cake while the sale of the old one is lagging behind. What would you do?
