hey
I hav been using Amd 64x2 for a while now so ithought of upgrading mah processor n may be a new motherboard also.
So guys i am quite confused abt wat to go for , Intel core 2 duo or Amd 64x2 ?
Intel C2D or Amd 64x2 ??
Intel quad core or Amd Phenom ??
And even help me wid gud motherboards ......
I dont want very hi-fi Mb Also. A gud performer and worth money spent Mb wud b prefered ...3
and 1 more thing 8800gts Oc 320 mb is better or 8800gt 512 mb ?
Depending on what your doing (whether or not you need a quad core CPU) I would recommend the Intel P35 chipset for you. Maybe the Gigabyte P35 DS3L with a 45nm C2D E8400 or a C2Q Q9450 for this board. personally I think 8800gt 512mb is better than the 8800gts.

It really depends on what you want to do with the machine.
Gigabyte and Asus seem to be the way to go for motherboards these days.
The 8800GT beats the old 8800GTS 320 but not the newer 8800GTS 512.
Finally, I think you'll find that people are more likely to help out if you actually take the time to spell words in at least a semi-readable manner.
Sorry , i wil take care of my words from next posts.
As far system is concerned i just want games should work with good graphics. I have finalized my Graphic card ( xfx 8800gt 512mb xxx ). I may go 4 SLI compatible motherboard but right now i have no mood to spend on two graphic cards.
If it fits in your budget I'd opt for an Intel E8400 or Q6600. The E8400 would be faster for some of the current games but the quad Q6600 would be a bit more future proof. The ATI products don't perform as well but if you're under a tight budget and really want a quad core then you could look at a Phenom. If that's your plan I'd wait until the B3 stepping is released.
If you want to have the SLI option in the future make sure to find an nvidia chipset motherboard.
Just got a AMD 5000+ Black Edition for a friend. It's awsome. Only ran about $90 + fan. I'm a little biased towards AMD though. The E8400 is nice as well, but IMO it doesn't improve much on gaming performance for the price ($240ish on newegg). A cheaper C2D would work just as well.
If your not going to overclock and looking for the cheapest setup amd will more then likely be better. If you want the most performance you can get/overclocking or such intel would be a good choice. If you want a quad core you can always go phenom but its not that great. If you were on a budget of say 500-700 dollars and needed the best gaming performance you can get with that money def go amd. If your spending 800-900 id opt for the intel system
