Display icons in all programs

My system icons are not displaying correctly in my ALL Programs, just the generic icon. How can this be corrected.

My system icons are not displaying correctly in my ALL Programs, just the generic icon. How can this be corrected.

The icons for folders do look a bit generic. Actual program executables, (otherwise known as links to those executables) have the associated program icon.

If shorcuts to executables are wrong, right-click the shortcut and select Properties, then "Change Icon" and re-select the proper icon, click apply, click Ok.

There are other methods to affect icons. This is easy, try it.
