hi im wondering if anyone has phase change and what voltage you can run a e8400 at, im aiming for about 4500-5000 mhz with a vcore of about 1.5v, or can i go higher with the vcore.

A Vcore higher than 1.45V for the 45nm CPUs will kill it within two years even with an extremely efficient cooling system. This is just a matter of electronics, not heat - you're killing it from overvolting, not heat.

I don't suggest over 1.5V for sustained use, maybe just for one benching.

You can go up to 1.5v for benchmarking, but I wouldn't run it higher than 1.4v for long term use.
