I am buying a new ATI 3870x2. I want to buy a good brand, that has lifetime warranty. I want to know from personal experience, who has had the best luck with which brand. thanks

Sapphire or Asus. I go Asus for better warenty and great utilities. You can get a nice Asus at stock clocks with some extra love for OCing. The apps they give you make it super easy. Great monitoring, awsome fan controls, sweet OC options with as many methods of OC as you could hope for. OC on demand, full time, ect...

VisionTek has a good reputation and a lifetime warranty.

The XGE1950 Pro VisionTek I have has really proven to be a reliable workhorse and I would expect the VisionTek 3870X2 to perform likewise.

Powercolor generally only give 1 year warranties though from my experience. The US generally gets better warranties (I am still working on a thesis as to why that doesn't make sense), so if you live there you may get something better. I find their customer support non-existent too, but the price is generally right.

Sapphire have always been quality....

HIS were great overclockers with their I-Turbo software.... really easy to use (I remember getting 33% extra performance from my X800 back in the early days)

Sapphire tend to do the best overall package... HIS cards you get good software... and nVidia cards you get better performance and I'll like you more if you buy one :P

you will like me more if I buy nvidia?? rofl

Yeah Sapphire is your best bet. I personally prefer HiS' IceQ Turbo series of cards.

I can vouch for Power Color as well. I owned an x850xt made by them for almost 3 years. Never had a problem. Sapphire is really good too i have heard. I think some friends of mine have used them, and they definitely rock.

SOo, I am forced to either get a power color or visiontek. Newegg has every other decent brand out of stock right now.

Or, you could wait for the 4000 series to come out....jk

I just checked, and they all seem to be in except for the HIS one.

I just got done finding a bunch of info on the R700 (the 4000 series), and it looks like they will be quite a feat of engineering if everything I read was accurate.

I can't wait to see what ATI has up their sleeves...

Sapphire

I havent had one die yet(knock on wood).

I had a Asus die
I had a Diamond Die
I had a HIS die

All with 1 year of owning them. These were all either 1950 or 3850's.

My Sapphire
1650 (3 of them)
3850 (4 of them)
3870 (2 of them)
HD3870x2 no issues (1)
