AMD Athlon 64 overclock?

Hello everyone,I am noob in overclocking,so I need a little help.
I have AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and Asus K8N4E-SE motherboard.There is option in BIOS to overclock bus speed by 10% and I wanna know if it is safe to choose that option?
I dont know anything about overclocking,only that it increase the performance of CPU.

The Athlons are not great overclockers. You might get 10% out of it (If you're lucky) but you'll hardly notice the difference.

Athlons are great OC'ers. I got my 4000+to 3.0 Ghz stable with only 50ºC Load temps. Thats a 25% gain. That is big for a single core 90nm chip.

My bad, I saw the 3000+ and was thinking of Athlon XP's
