Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit

or

OCZ Platinum XTC PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL5-4-4-15 DDR2 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit

I didn't see either of these on the supported memory list.

Even if it's not listed, most of the time, it should still work fine, just not guaranteed. Might as well pick the first, since timing is tighter.

I noticed the timing was different but I really don't know what the numbers mean

The crucial is about $15 more then the ocz.

That makes sense. Tighter timings (lower number) is faster.

Because there are too many RAM brand names and RAM modules available on market, it is impossible for Taiwan manufacturer to test the compatibility of all RAM modules for their motherboard. I use OCZ Titinum OCZ OCZ2T800C44GK DDR2 800 4G Kit (2Gx2) which is work fine in my GA-P35-DS3L, I guess it would be also fine for OCZ Platinum. Both Crucial and OCZ are famous brand name with stable quality so I think it would be fine for your motherboard.

The actual performance of tighter timing is not significent but the RAM with tighter timing can provide higher overclocking capability.

Dagger is right, RAM with tighter timing is normally cost higher but if you don't overclock your system, it is not worth to pay USD$ 15 more.

I ended up ordering Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit I'm waiting for my shipment to arrive so I have no idea if it works well or not.

Use the Memory test program to test if your Crucial Ballistix work well with Windows and if unfortunately not OK then get conforming replacement from the seller, I think that is what we could do.

What memory test program?

I just got the system up and running last night, I'm currently using XP 32bit so it only sees 3Gb of the memory, I'm looking into switching to Vista 64bit.

Use Mem86+ or the Windows Memory Diagnostic that provided by Microsoft, Microsoft link as following. The mem86+ is too long time on test for me so I normally use the one from Microsoft.
