External enclosure outputs

i'm going to be buying an external enclosure for a SATA hard drive i have. i will mainly be using it just for backing stuff up, but i may use it to store certain things that i use all the time as well, such as music and what not. i was wondering if USB2.0 would be plenty of speed for me, or if i should go with the eSATA

eSata is faster but usb2 should be sufficient. i run videos/music off my external drives all the time.

you could always get an enclosure that supports both.

e-sata can be 3+ times faster ... if you are ever going to use the drive for backups or disk cloning its worth it... and it only adds $5 or so to the price
