I want to purchase the HIS HD 3870 Ice Turbo with DDR4 memory.
However, my current mainboard only supports PCIE 1.0; do I need a PCIE 2.0 compliant mainboard?
Will this kick @ss card work on my current M/B? (MSI P965 Neo).

Any suggestions for a min. amount of Watts for the PSU for this card?

PCIE 2.0 is backwards compatible, it will work with your mobo. About 17A on the 12v rail should be sufficient.

Thanks for the replies, guys; much appreciated.
I bought the MSI 9600 GT 1 GB GDDR3 OC instead. Along with a new mobo just to be sure: MSI P7N SLI Platinum nForce 750. Not the ultimate, but two rock solid pieces of hardware for a real bargain price. Should keep my rig running for a while.
