Hey everybody thinking of upgrading my video card and would like an opinion. My system is about 2 months old ,all components are new except XFX 6600gt from old system.Thinking of getting an 8600GT and my question is will my psu be ok?My current configuration is,
Asus P5b motherboard
Seagate 250 gig HD
2x512mb Kingston ram
Liteon dvd rom
Liteon dvd burner
I have read literally dozens of forums on this ,lots of people say get a more powerful psu, but then again a number of others say it would be just fine since it is a decent psu. What say you guys?I am a moderate gamer, nothing too extreme.Any other video cards you might suggest? there seems to be some pretty good deals on this one right now. Thanks for any suggestions!
The truepower trio 430 can have 32a on the 12v rails. That is enough to power just about any single gpu card.
The 8600GT is not a power hungry card, so you should be fine.
