Greetings from florida...building a new computer for the office around
existing PNY Nvidia Quadro NVS 440 to support 3 existing Dell monitors
that I use in my financial services business. The card is a PCI-E x1 /
x16 interface and an ATX ful height, 1/2 length form factor with max
digital resolution of 1920x1200.

I'm looking for your thoughts on the best value/performance board/cpu
for the build. This is a non-gaming multi-tasking environment with
multiple internet based applications running simultaneously with host
applications as well as internet and client based applications running
on a connected USB 2.0 VMWare encrypted XP Pro used by my company for
data/client security purposes. I'm thinking that the host side desktop
I'm building should have min 4gb of RAM (suggestions here on amount and
type of RAM appreciated). I"m currently running separate hdd's for
programs and data and am considering 10,000 rpm WD's (74/150) for the
new build (again suggestions and thoughts here are appreciated). I also
plan an Addonics Saturn type removable HDD for daily imaging of host
with Acronis.

XP Pro OS for both host and client.

Again, primary reason for posting is your recommendations on cpu/board.
Also, is are add-on coolers of any type recommended for this type
application? Will probably use Antec Sonata III 500 case (500w) as
I've had good experience with the Sonata case line previously.

Thanks in advance.

Get a High end Intel Quad core - a Q9850, get a x48 motherboard - A Gigabyte motherboard has never gone down on me so I allways rate them.......

Does this software work with the 64 bit edition of windows xp pro ? If so go for 8gb of ram....

Get a 1000 watt psu from any tier one hardware manufacturer

one of these should do the trick

the rest is usual but go for a good psu, you will not regret it as 500 watt doesnt seem enough for what you want
