can I use unmatched hard drives with RAID 0,one is 200gb and the other is 160gb,one is WD caviar,the other is Hitachi,there both 7200rpm,what do ya think,can I do it,thank you

possible yes. recommended no.
ideally all members of a raid set should be as close to identical as possible.

the 200 gig drive will "shrink" down to 160 gig so your raid 0 set would be 320gigs. you could probly assign another logical drive to the "extra" space on the 200 gig. depends on the raid controller.

if your just looking to combine the drive to 1 logical drive then jbod is a better choice as you wont lose the 40 gigs. and data is easily recoverable in case of a single drive failure.
