I Have SLI Problems

I get crashes, sometimes it hangs or has driver stopped responding errors. The errors happen as soon as it loads a game with in a few seconds. In 3dmark06 it will hang before it loads the first test most of the time. I have got it to run 1 time in sli mode and the score was about 15K, I can live with that if it would just run all the time and games would work. I have tries several games like farcry , crysis, COD4, UT2004, Black Hawk Down. All run fine with single card. I wanted sli so I could upgrade to a 24' monitor and not lag at high res. Or at least make crysis a little smoother at 1680 x 1050.

Setup is...

E6750 2.66 with Zalman 9700 cooler Max temp prime95 48C 24+ hours
Asus P5N-D 750i motherboard newest bios installed, did not help. Newest drivers as well.
2gb kit Crucial Balixtic ddr2 800 CL4 Passed Memtest over 24 hours
2x evga 8800 gts g92 512 Each card solo scored 11.4k 3dmark06 with no crashes or anything 168.32 drivers
Ultra X-pro 750w SLI certified for 2 8800 gts
Antec Nine Hundred Case with optional 120mm side panel fan.
2x 320 gb segate sata hdd not in raid
1 dvd burner
Windows Vista 32 bit

I had already change out Memory, I had Super Talent, thought that was the problem, did not help.
I had 2x evga 8800 gts g80 640 that I had bought used each of them worked fine solo as well.
I had a cheifmax 650w power supply but was told it was crap so i upgraded it to.
I had the stock cpu cooler and upgraded that. Cpu MUCH cooler but still same problems.

All of these changes made 0 difference. The Memory upgrade speed some stuff up. but sli still crashed.

Going to garbage can this peice of crap and buy a PS3 or Xbox. Hardware will be the death of pc gaming not piracy.
(that was just a rant) :(

Drivers, overheating, or inadequate power are the main reasons for crashes like that. Since you upgraded power supplies and have good cooling, I'd look toward drivers.

Are you still running 168.32 drivers? Those are old.

DL these 174.20 vista 32-bit drivers. Remove the old drivers through add/remove programs, reboot, and install these.

Not saying it will fix your problem, but it would be the first thing I would try.

New drivers work, Thanks a million. 3dmark06 15k stable so now it is time for the new monitor.
