Problems with Prime95/Orthos

Starting OCing my E2180 and every goes fine until I start stress testing. The main problem is the fact that even though I'm running 333 bus and x9 multiplier, Prime95 and Orthos both stress test at x10 for some reason, obviously making the tests alot more brutal than they should...

Well if your multiplier is at 10x during tests than that means you haven't set the multi to 9x.

Are you having any other problems?

I really think Overclocking is something we learn through trial and error. I never had to ask for help once I already knew the very basics, I just kept at it till I figured it out.
Maybe not everyone has the ability to do simple troubleshooting, or maybe some people are just lazy and would rather have all the answers given to them.

Not to get on you Templar, but I think I see at least 10 posts a day that are essentially the same OCing question repeated. I mean 90% of all the questions in this section can be answered by the OCing sticky.

Uhm, no. I'm not a moron, I set it to x9 and have double checked. What is all this babbling over a simple question? My BIOS and CPU-Z both read the multiplier as x9. Maybe I came to the wrong forum for something so complicated as reading the topic.

your default multi is 10 and thats what orthos thinks your running on its just a glitch it rekons my processor is at 4.7ghz when it isnt. it also doesnt effect the testing tho so if it fails then its not stable.
