I want to upgrade my mobo to something newer. I currently have 2gigs of ddr2 533 ram. The mobo i was thinking of upgrading to is an MSI G33M-FI. I have a core 2 duo e6320 that i'll be putting into this new mobo as well. My current motherboard works fine with this cpu/ram combination and its specs say that it works with ddr2 533, while this newer one says @ ddr2 667/800. I'm not overclocking anything either.

So, will this slower ram still work on this motherboard/cpu combo?

If someone has a better recommendation for a board, let me know. It has to be a microatx, and I would prefer one with a slot layout similar to this one, so I can fit my 8800gt w/accelero cooler + my pci sound card in it.

yeah you should be fine. i used that mobo to build a system for somebody else and it's pretty good. if you ever decide to overclock, it's got fairly decent options in the bios.
