Constant beeping

Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 1520, running Vista.

I was surfing normally, and the screen went black. I could not even see a cursor to move about. So I pressed the power button to turn it off so it would reboot. When I restarted it, the startup began, but quickly started a constant beeping. There was no pattern or pause. I looked it up on another computer at home and it said Beep Code 1. CIOS checksum failure. Possible system board failure. So that's where I'm at right now.

Thank you so much for the link! I got going with the BIOS and CMOS and came up with the idea of removing the battery, waiting and then replacing it. That worked!
