Heello!
This is my first thread ever in a non swedish forum, but anyway.
I hope that you guys could help me out with telling me how powerfull my PSU must be to run this system:

Asus STRIKER II FORMULA nForce 780i
Intel Core 2 QUAD Q9450 2.66GHz 12MB
Asus Extreme GeForce 8800GTS 512MB
Asus Extreme GeForce 8800GTS 512MB= SLI
Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Dolby Digital Live
OCZ Platinum XTC 2x2048MB
Samsung HD753LJ 750GB 7200rpm 32MB SATA2
6 of : Noctua NF-S12-1200 Sound-optimised + a ThermalRight ultra-120 extreme

I thought of using a 620W quality PSU: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817139002

Do you guys 620W will be enough for this system, light clocking included?
thx for good answers!

With two 8800GTS in SLI, I would recommend at least PCP&P Silencer 750W:

You could get away with a 600w power supply only if you bought the PC P&C silencer 610w, but if you are paying that much then you might as well spend about $20 more for the 750w, and feel safe.

The 620HX can handle even two 8800GTX cards, let alone two 8800 GTS. Still. I agree with the others about the Silencer 750W. It would give you more room for future upgrades.

The Corsair TX750W is 60$ here in Sweden so I think that maybe that is another good choice.
Or is the Pc P&C a better PSU?
TX750W- quality + noiselevel?
/thx

TX750W = nonexpensive
PC P&C Silencer 750W = Quality

Thats about it.

PC P&C is usually regarded as the best pick for quality. Here in the US, prices are similar between the PC P&C and Corsair power supplies, making the former the better choice. However if the situation is different in Sweden and the TX750W is significantly cheaper, it isn't a bad choice at all.

I've changed my mind.
Yea prices here are a lot worse. iPhone etc i can buy from the US, but a PC. naah that's a bit 2 far.

Since my comp. will cost me a looot more than 60$ and it will be my babe for the next years, why should I save 60 bucks instead of raw quality.

I'll go with the PC P&C!
How is that PSU if we talk; quality, performace and noiselevel?
/thx guys!
