Crysis 2 Issues

Hey, i posed in "games" but no-one knew
so i used to play this on XP pro and got to about 100fps and never below 80 on very high/extreme,
now i got windows 7 64 bit, and runs about 20-30 frames on high and drops to 10 sometimes for a few seconds, every now and then
what's going on. thanks,

It's the difference between rendering it using DX9 and DX11 /with the corresponding quality/. One high/extreme is not quite like the other.

dx11 tessellation starts kicking in.

thanks, it's been getting better, i got up to 60fps with dx11, and very high, i can live with that,
