How much does speed of hard drive matter in 3dmark06 scores?

I have an old small IBM Deskstar that I want to install Win XP on to run 3dmark06. The reason is I want to gauge the score difference between my current Vista Ultimate 64bit vs Win XP 32bit but dont want to create a partition etc etc.

My only concern is that the HD was made in like 1997, its noisy and slow......

Also, for the purpose of 3dmark06 scores, will 2gigs of memory achieve a higher score than 4gigs?

the hard drive shouldnt effect the results I would think.... IT is mroe dependant on CPU and GPU performance. 2gb vs 4gb may present a different score though, but not by much... 4GB might be slightly better.
