Not bad. Although if you ever plan to upgrade to say a Yorkfeild later on you might not be able to since the 680i chipsets have trouble supporting them. But overall that should be an impressive build fit for some good all out gaming.
Only thing I would change though is the PSU. 500w may seem enough for it all at stock but when you OC the Q6600 it will need more power and you might want to go to 700w if possible. If its the standard 500w its not SLI certified so might not support it. And you want one with a efficiency(meaning how close to the stated wattage) of 80%+ just for safe measure.
I was actually against SLI too, but then I saw the benchmarks on SLI 9600GTs... wow beats any single card on the market and two 9600s costs only $300
I understand that. When I first saw the 9700Pro whomping the living crap out of my GeForce 4 I just wanted it.
But the overall opinion is for you to chnge the PSU to a better more well known brand like Corsair and getting aroung 600w-700w just so it will run right from the start.
I'm running a 3.0GHz Q6600, 2- 8800GT SLI, 2HDD, 2 Opticals on this power supply with total stability. It's nice and Quiet and quality...made by Seasonic.
